Terhitung sejak tanggal 23 Mei 2005, Warung Internet Lihardo resmi beralih ke sistem operasi Linux. Begitu juga aplikasi-aplikasi didalamnya, misalnya aplikasi office, Lihardo menggunakan OpenOffice.org
Alasan utama migrasi ke Linux adalah karena Linux is free and legal. Kami di Lihardo terus-menerus mengupayakan pemakaian software legal untuk setiap komputer. Solusi termurah untuk masyarakat Indonesia (khususnya pelanggan Lihardo) adalah Linux. Linux adalah sistem operasi yang stabil, legal, dan juga handal. Selain itu distro linux yang mengemas berbagai software aplikasi juga tersedia free. Sehingga sangat terjangkau bagi kebanyakan pelanggan Lihardo.

Easy to Use:
Users pay at the counter to receive a Password (automatically generated and display/print out to a printer) for their session connection. Their laptops will be directed to a Login web page. They enter the session Password for their individual session and receive a welcome message to tell them they are now connected to the Internet for browsing. When their session time is finished, their connection will be stopped and Password will erased from database.
